Lady Eileithyia Goddess of Childbirth and labor pains. Roman name Lucina. Daughter of Lord Zeus and Lady Hera, sister to Lord Ares, Lady Eris, Lady Enyo, Lord Hephaestus and Lady Hebe. Lady Eileithyia is depicted as a woman wielding a torch, representing the burning pains of childbirth or with her arms raised in the air to bring the child to the light. She is closely identified with Lady Hera and Lady Artemis both bore epithets of her name.
